MultiCraft Technician
Georgia-Pacific is seeking a MultiCraft Technician for our Cumberland, TN facility. This is a full-time role starting at 28$-31$ per hour based on experience.
This is a highly skilled position that requires an individual who can troubleshoot and maintain manufacturing equipment while constantly demonstrating safe work practices. This role will create value by performing preventative and corrective maintenance leading to increased uptime and reliability, so the facility is able to meet production and quality goals. Shifts for our MultiCraft Technicians may vary and they include holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
What You Will Do In Your Role
• Troubleshoot and repair electric/electronic equipment, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems
• Troubleshoot up to 480 VAC and DC circuits.
• Participate in a Preventative Maintenance (PM) program
• Record maintenance and repairs in a computerized system
• Collaborate with operations to identify and prioritize maintenance needs
• Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures and actively participate in the safety program
• Self-directed working with little supervision
• Perform physical work tasks to include lifting, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and/or pulling, sometimes in elevated spaces, for at least twelve (12) hours a day; sometimes in a hot, humid, cold and noisy industrial environment
• Adhere to all safety rules and regulations including wearing the necessary Personal Protection equipment (PPE) (i.e. hard hats, safety glasses, face shield, chemical suit, respirator, ear plugs, hearing protection, steel-toe boots or safety shoes and other PPE required)
The Experience You Will Bring
Requirements:
• Minimum of three (3) years of Industrial Electrician experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting AND a two (2) year technical degree or certification in electrical maintenance OR at least five (5) years of experience as an industrial electrician or maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing or industrial setting
• Experience reading technical diagrams and schematics
• Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance routines and practices
What Will Put You Ahead
• Two (2) year technical degree in Maintenance Mechanics or Industrial Maintenance Technology
• Five (5) or more years of experience as an Industrial Electrician or Maintenance Mechanic to include troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment
• Experience utilizing a computerized maintenance management system
• Experience operating a motorized forklift and/or clamp truck
