POSITION OVERVIEW:
The OSF Framework Scenario Developer will work within a team of engineers, developers, and system analyst professionals in processing Missile Defense System (MDS) scenario data (e.g. missile threat data, Radar Cross Section (RCS) data, Infrared (IR) data, Environmental data, Cloud Object Debris (COD) and Kinetic Impact Debris Distribution (KIDD) and incorporating it into the Missile Defense Agency's (MDA) Objective Simulation Framework (OSF). OSF is used to integrate this data into configurations used to support MDA MDS interoperability and performance test and checkout using Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) and Digital Simulations. This effort is event driven and may require some overtime and/or off-shift hours. The candidate must have a willingness to adapt work schedule to tight event timelines as necessary.
Job Responsibilities
- Work as part of a team processing Missile Defense System (MDS) scenario data
- Process large data sets in various formats using scripts and tools to convert the data for use within the Framework software.
- Translate test requirements (e.g. Scenario Matrix) into Framework configuration settings.
- Perform checkout and analysis of generated configurations to verify that all requirements are met and that data inputs are correct and correlates back to the original input data. Candidate will also work with Configuration Management (CM), test lab personnel, test conductors and Event Mission Managers (EMMs), and other MDA stakeholders to ensure the delivered product meets the customer's needs. This effort is event driven and may require some overtime and/or off-shift hours.
Required Education and Experience:
- BS in Math, Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering or Physics from an accredited institution
- 3 years of experience
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix and Office Applications (Linux/Unix and Windows)
- Excellent organizational skills needed to track multiple assignments, adapt to requirements changes, and meet deadlines
- The ability to work with or learn to use and operate a MDA test frame work to
- Process Input Data
- Develop, troubleshoot, and execute Configurations
- Analyze data
- Prepare reports (charts, graphs, etc...)
Desired Skills:
- Radar System data analysis
- Ability to write scripts or code using C , R, Perl, Python and Java
- Experience with data reduction and analysis tool such as MatLab
- Experience in the Missile Defense Agency and with Missile Defense Systems
Clearance/Other:
- Active SECRET Clearance; TS/SCI preferred
