What We’re Looking For:

We are seeking a highly motivated Environmental Specialist to join our Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) team at Kohler’s new state-of-the-art facility in Casa Grande, AZ. The Environment Specialist will be responsible for enhancing and implementing environmental policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate environmental risks and hazards, and to promote sustainable practices across the facility.

Your Technical Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement environmental policies, procedures, and programs
  
• Conduct environmental assessments and audits to identify potential risks and hazards
  
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement mitigation strategies
  
• Complete periodic reporting to local and state governments
  
• Monitor and report on environmental compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  
• Provide technical guidance and support to internal and external stakeholders as needed
  
• Participate in the implementation of environmental management systems
  
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and practices to reduce environmental impacts

Skills/Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, or related field is required
  
• 3 years of experience in environmental management; experience in the manufacturing industry preferred
  
• Strong understanding of local, state, and federal environmental regulations and requirements
  
• Knowledge of environmental management systems (e.g., ISO 14001) and sustainability reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI)
  
• Experience with environmental compliance audits and assessments
  
• Experience with environmental impact assessments and risk assessments
  
• Ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to implement environmental programs and initiatives
  
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex environmental concepts to a wide range of audiences
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate environmental risks and hazards
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and environmental data management software
  
• Willingness to travel as needed
