Koinonia Christian Church is looking for a Videographer and Editor with broadcast video experience. This full-time position will work under the supervision of the Marketing and Communications Director to oversee and implement video capture, editing, and video broadcast of the worship encounters, classes, and events. This position will assist in the development of the use of distributed video/tech platforms to communicate the Gospel in creative ways outside the walls of Koinonia Christian Church while telling the stories of the church. This includes leading and developing volunteer video staff and overseeing and managing the expectations of this team and systems.


ONGOING DUTIES:

  • Function as the video producer of worship services


  • Enhance and support our current streaming online experience


  • Responsible for video related technical components for all worship services.


  • Consults with the IT department to enhance our network-based technologies (i.e. streaming, among others)


  • Responsible for the maintenance of all video technical equipment and inventory of all video related equipment on the campuses


  • Responsible for planning, designing, and coordinating installation of equipment updates and repair when needed


  • Recruit, lead, and provide ongoing training and development of volunteer/employed video staff


  • Ensure the recording, editing, and broadcast of worship services, classes, video blogs, commercials, events, and other video content for both streaming and the weekly television broadcasts


  • Schedule volunteer video staff for required worship services, weekday recordings, classes, and events


  • Ensure services and events are staffed by production volunteers and staff


  • Oversee big picture planning and vision for the production department and plan continued enhancement of video content to keep the church on the cutting edge of possibilities.


  • Knowledgeable with various video editing programs to provide special effects to provide visually captivating content to tell the story of the church.


  • Develop, maintain, and deliver a comprehensive training program for volunteer staff, providing them with knowledge and experience necessary to operate video equipment to capture the best shots for engaging the viewing audience.


  • Other staff duties as required by leadership.


  • Serve on the Worship Experience team to plan worship encounter and events


  • Serve as a resource to other staff members


  • Attend staff meetings and functions as directed


  • Committed Christ follower who aligns with the vision and beliefs of Koinonia Christian Center Church


  • Partner with other ministries to assist with technical needs for their special events


  • Studio engineering experience using Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro, and other video editing software


POSITION MINDSET: This individual in this role must be highly organized with a “Can Do” attitude and a flexible schedule. Experience in live video, A/V technology, and graphic design is essential to this role. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work with many people along with the ability to communicate to the volunteers, the spiritual implications of what they do is necessary to succeed in this role. The drive to enhance and add improvement to what is currently produced (vs maintaining the status quo) will be critical for this role.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:


  • Associate’s degree in media, production or graphic design (bachelor’s degree preferred)


  • More than three (3) years producing, video capture, editing, motion graphic experience


  • Experience leading multiple teams of adult volunteers


  • Experience working in a church of 1,500 or more in weekly attendance


SCHEDULE AND HOURS:

  • 40 hours per week including weekends and evening rehearsals
