Position Summary:
Technical Support Technicians are responsible for providing technical assistance with computer hardware and software to Kokosing team members.

  • They are also responsible for processing work orders, email, and phone calls.
  • They will support Microsoft Windows 10 desktops and laptops, software, printers, scanners, basic network issues, mobile devices (Android/iOS), and other assorted technology.

A successful Technical Support Technician should be well-versed in all aspects of computer systems configuration, set up, and maintenance. They should also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Maintain, document, analyze, troubleshoot, and repair computer hardware and software.
  • Hardware includes desktop and laptop PC’s, iPads, iPhones, Meraki Wireless Access Points, Telpar and Star receipt printers, multifunction copiers, printers, monitors, Sophos Remote Ethernet Devices, and peripherals.
  • Software includes Microsoft Windows 10, Microsoft Office 2013, 2016, 2019, and 365. It also includes Skype for Business, Bluebeam, Adobe, MobileIron, Trend Apex One, AutoCAD, and other construction related software.
  • Manage jobsite internet setup and tear down, company cellular device plans, and managed service contracts for multifunctional devices.
  • Support requests are managed and tracked in a ticketing system that the technician will be responsible for documenting the status, any notes, and completion of work orders.
  • Other duties will include hardware purchases, inventory, and upgrades.
  • This position does require proper handling of sensitive data.
  • Technicians will be enrolled in a weekly on-call rotation to support after-hours emergency requests.
  • Above technical responsibilities, the technician will promote a culture of safety and leadership while working to promote a supportive team environment.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree, associate degree, or equivalent work experience in a Computer Science field.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience as a support technician
