Position Summary: The Purchasing Clerk is essential to maintaining the supply chain and ensuring the timely procurement of materials and supplies necessary for our manufacturing processes. You will work closely with vendors, internal departments, and the production team to ensure that all purchasing activities align with company needs and standards.

- Experience in purchasing, procurement, or inventory management, preferably in the manufacturing or cosmetics industry.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficient understanding of inventory management software and purchasing systems.
- Ability to perform basic math and data analysis.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Review and process purchase orders for raw materials and supplies.
- Communicate with vendors to negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and terms.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and order statuses.
- Collaborate with production and quality control teams to forecast supply needs.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their offerings.
- Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy.
- Address any discrepancies or issues related to shipments or orders.
- Participate in the development and refinement of purchasing procedures and protocols.
- Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Be prepared to work overtime and on Saturdays as needed to meet production demands.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a relevant field is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and perform manual tasks as needed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management software.
- Knowledge of supply chain principles and procurement best practices is a plus.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
