A Reliability Technician is responsible to enhance quality, safety, and reliability of our products/services in the marketplace to meet customers' needs now and in the future. They collaborate with engineers and lead maintenance technicians daily to drive continuous improvement. Duties include identifying top three regional reliability concerns, providing technical assistance and supporting new development. Also, they systematize, and direct work assigned to make certain immediate feedback to repairs, fast identification of faults, and prompt action to repairs. Additionally, they plan, establish, and coordinate work by contractors and other associates.
The Reliability Technician will work under the supervision of a Field Service Supervisor or Service Manager to ensure that service work is conducted in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
- Perform duties that adhere to company EHS standards and other company policies.
- Track the Life Cycle of major components in the form of MTBF and MTTR with the intention of increasing Life usage hours

- Initiate engineering studies into product and component failures, and provide data and analysis to Product Reliability Review Boards (PRRB) in Milwaukee and Longview for all surface products
- Serve as expert in warranty and reliability analysis and lead in the development of product support capability to identify problems, develop problem statements, and perform root cause analysis
- Identify opportunities to reduce warranty cost and improve product quality.
- Facilitate, and participate in multi-departmental and cross functional teams in the product problem resolution and reliability areas.
- Provide technical and reliability expertise to support Customer Mine Planning,Operations and Maintenance practices.
- Must be able to maintain a flexible work schedule to include day shift, night shift, weekend, and holiday assignment as well as day and overnight travel.
- Strong skills set in the following areas: troubleshooting, organization, time management, conflict management, and problem solving.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate with the customer to address general requests.
- Comfortable with MS Word and Excel.
- Ability to collect and analyze data. Ability to prepare formal reports on findings and supply recommendations.
- Advanced understanding of technical specification, blueprint & schematic reading.
- Intermediate financial and business acumen. Solid ability to connect service decisions to the bottom line.
