Operations Manager Position Description
SUMMARY
The Operations Manager is an exempt, supervisory job classification responsible for ensuring execution of efficient crew production, job quality, exceptional customer service and employee safety. This key operational position plays an instrumental role in the achievement of the company’s overall vision and mission. The primary roles associated with this position are as follows and are defined below:
REPORTS TO: Landscape Maintenance Account Manager
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Works independent of close supervision.
2. Have at least one-year experience as a crew leader with demonstrable leadership skills.
3. Ability to speak industry Spanish/English or better (Bilingual)
4. Possession of the state ornamental & turf pesticide applicator’s license
5. Must have a high school diploma or GED and/or achievement of appropriate Green
Industry education and or experience.
7. Have a total of five (5) years combined experience/education in the green industry.
8. A current valid drivers license and eligible to drive under our insurance requirements.
Physical Characteristics
Frequently stand, walk, or crouch on narrow and/or slippery surfaces; stoop, kneel, bend to pick up or move objects; walk for long distances and on sloped ground and uneven surfaces; move, lift, and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds; normal manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination; corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
Working Conditions
Work is predominately outdoors, exposed to varying temperatures, weather conditions, and noise levels; exposure to dust, pesticides, herbicides, grease, oils, fumes, and electrical currents.
