What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeper position at Kona Surgery Center?
We are looking for a dependable Housekeeper to join our KASC team! As a Housekeeper you will be working in our PACU and OR to provide essential and terminal cleaning. The hours and days will vary depending on case loads. Essential responsibilities include but not limited to:
PROCEDURE:
The Operations Manager will have a routine schedule for the daily cleaning of the center.
Housekeeping employees will wear appropriate PPE to complete their job, e.g. gloves. All personnel will wash their hands after handling refuse. Scrubs are provided for your work uniform.
Medical equipment and the medical records room will not be included in this cleaning process.
Daily scope of work will be as follows, but not limited to:
- Sweep and mop all vinyl, tile, and floors. Dry dusting and sweeping are prohibited in clean/sterile areas.
- Spot wax and buff as needed on tile.
- Vacuum all carpeted floors.
- Clean minor spot clean stains in/on floors as necessary.
- Clean and restock all bathrooms for paper products and hand soap. Clean all tile, sinks, mirrors, toilets, doors, handles, and floors.
- All rubbish and refuse containers in treatment areas will be lined, clean and impervious.
- Dust all pictures, decorative lighting, fans, vents, and artificial plants.
- Clean all windows and glass doors as needed to maintain a spot-free appearance.
- Refill and restock ALL soap and hand towel dispensers throughout the facility.
- Remove and check to insure ceilings are free of cobwebs.
- Wipe down all cabinet tops and cabinets.
- Clean the kitchen and break room.
- Keep the doors and baseboards dust and dirt free.
- Dust and wipe down all the furniture in waiting rooms and offices.
- Clean all sinks.
- Terminal cleaning of operating rooms.
- Other duties as assigned.
