Quality Control Associate inspects and audits inspection procedures and equipment relating to precision machined work pieces at various stages of production to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products.
*Responsibilities*
· Properly measure and follow internal QC standards according to client's specifications.
· Perform all testing, evaluations, and documentation of results according to client's specifications.
· Audits inspection procedures and decides on allowable variations utilizing blueprints, engineering specifications, historical data, and/or knowledge of product application.
· Records test data and generates reports, charts and/or graphs applying statistical
· Quality control procedures. Distributes this information to appropriate personnel or departments.
· Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability and customer or engineering requirements.
· Performs first part inspections and notifies production personnel of approvals for continuation of process, in a timely manner
· Measures dimensions such as length, height, and distance between reference points by using precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and gauges to ensure product meets specifications.
· Compares surface finishes on workpiece to specifications using profilometer or by using a standard block and fingertip touch comparison.
· Audits and calibrates all company inspection equipment to ensure reliability and accuracy.
· Investigates in-house or customer generated complaints or requests for corrective action and notifies management or production personnel of disposition of discrepant product or process.
· Transfers inspected parts to specified staging areas.
· Uses and/or audits use, by other employees, of SPC and other methods of statistical analysis.
· May instruct other designated personnel in inspection methods and procedures.
Performs other related duties as assigned by Quality Control Manager.

Pay: $35,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
