Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule and Oversee Production: Plan and manage plant production schedules to meet customer demands efficiently and effectively.
- Leadership and Team Management: Set clear expectations, provide consistent follow-up, and lead by example to inspire and motivate the team.
- Staff Management: Hire, train, supervise, and retain a skilled operations staff, ensuring they are well-equipped to perform their duties.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure all employees and visitors adhere to safety and environmental regulations, fostering a safety-first culture.
- Workplace Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and operational efficiency.
- Procurement and Maintenance: Purchase parts and services necessary to maintain and operate stationary and mobile equipment, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives focused on improving operational efficiencies and reducing costs.
- Community Relations: Build and maintain positive relationships with the local community, demonstrating corporate responsibility and engagement.

Experience Required
- Extensive Mining Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a managerial or superintendent role within the mining industry, demonstrating a proven track record of successful leadership.
- Aggregates Mining Expertise: In-depth understanding of the aggregates mining process, including crushing and screening, with a preference for candidates having 10 years of experience in aggregates mining.
- Leadership Skills: Strong ability to lead, direct, and develop team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Hands-On Approach: Willingness and capability to work “boots on the ground” for the majority of the day in a demanding mining environment
. • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in using computer software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant applications, to support operational and administrative tasks.
- Preferred Engineering Background: An engineering background is preferred but not required, providing additional technical insight into mining operations.
