Job Summary

Work one on one with clients to determine eligibility and educate them about the skills and resources necessary to become self-sufficient. Work cooperatively with local jobs and training, social service providers, and inter-agency programs in providing referrals and services to homeless or at-risk clients. Check tenants in and out of units and coordinate unit preparation for new tenants. Assist with homeless prevention program. Provide financial counseling, budgeting and tenant training to crisis housing participants.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Associate’s Degree in Human Services or Related Field
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or Related Field
• More than 1 year experience- Working with people in poverty and crisis, Working with and in accepting people from multi-cultural and diverse family backgrounds, working with homeless, at-risk, mentally ill, chemically dependent or physically disabled people.
• DHS Background Study Clearance
• Valid Driver’s License & MVR approval for use of Agency Vehicles

Schedule/Location

• 32 Hours/Week
• Daytime weekday shift- no nights, weekends, or holiday shifts.
• Grand Rapids, MN

Compensation

• Starting Hourly Wage of $21.67
• Wage Scale of $21.67 to $31.44
• Scheduled Raises & Cost of Living Allowances
