What are the responsibilities and job description for the Buyer/Expediter position at KORE?
KORE is a recognized global leader in IoT solutions and management capabilities and is expanding its IoT and core network managed services portfolio and strengthening its Europe-Middle East-Africa (EMEA) and US presence through the acquisition of Integron, LLC.
The Buyer / Expediter performs day to day buying functions to include generating Purchase Orders’ for materials, equipment, supplies and services through the execution of the company purchasing processes and procedures. Coordinates and ensures the efficient movement of goods or supplies from suppliers in order to support sales and production efforts as well as maintain internal consumables.
- Reviews, monitors and secures inbound shipments in order to meet sales initiatives and production schedules and time lines.
- Communicates with all suppliers, shipping / transportation companies to secure on-time deliveries.
- Monitors shipments to ensure that the Purchase Order information matches the inbound shipment and resolves inconsistencies with inbound orders.
- Works with suppliers on compliance and improvements relating to policies and procedures.
- Prioritizes orders based on need and timelines to map to predetermined production schedules.
- Reads a variety of reporting tools in order to facilitate buying / expediting efforts.
- Communicates information with supervisors and is the source of information regarding product flow.
The buyer / expediter must have excellent verbal, written communication and organizational skills and possess decision making competencies; ability to monitor a number of orders and communicate with multiple suppliers. Must use standard office equipment and have skills in office software as well as have a basic understanding of Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP).
Work Experience Requirements:
Two or more years’ experience in a manufacturing / technical role where purchasing and expediting competencies are established and adhered to. Exceptional verbal and written communication with emphasis on following process is essential.

Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred)
