Position:
Director of Accounting
- Job responsibilities include:
o Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures
o Ensure successful completion of the company’s tax filings
o Oversee full charge bookkeeping (A/R and A/P)
o Work with CFO, President and Accounting Manager to prepare balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements o Planning, budgeting and authorizing expenditures o Prepare bank statement reconciliations using AppFolio property management software
o Manage journal entries and general ledger
o Ensure all tenant ledgers are accurately recorded
o Complete monthly soft closes and quarterly closes
o Assist in financial and investor reporting
- Experience:
o Accounting, 3 years (Required)
o CPA (Preferred)
o Real estate industry (Preferred)
o Property Management industry (Preferred) • Knowledge/Skills
o Strong written and verbal communication skills
o Detailed oriented, organized, and timely
o Technology savvy
o College graduate
o Comfortable collaborating in a team environment o An optimistic, proactive problem-solver with the ability to think critically o Adaptable, flexible and eager to grow with the Companies
