Title: Data Engineer - Machine Learning Operations

We have partnered with our client in their search for an experienced ML Ops Data Engineer, experienced in Machine Learning Operation processes and deploying/productizing ML models to join their renowned healthcare institution specializing in musculoskeletal health. This key role is situated within the Center for Analytics, Modeling, & Performance (CAMP) and the Orthopedic Data Innovation Lab (ODIL), where you will be at the forefront of integrating advanced analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to pioneer new care delivery models and improve global healthcare delivery. This role will collaborate across interdisciplinary teams to pioneer new care delivery models, support digital health platforms, and integrate new technologies into clinical practices.
Responsibilities
- Define, implement, and manage ML Ops processes to ensure the efficient operation and scalability of machine learning models within healthcare applications.
- Develop and monitor ETL and ELT workflows, ensuring data accuracy and a robust data infrastructure for advanced analytics and machine learning applications.
- Assist data scientists in building and optimizing ML pipelines, enhancing the capabilities for data transformation and utilization.
- Collaborate with Solution Engineers to optimize data architecture for product development, focusing on performance, scalability, and integration of advanced analytical models.
- Participate in interdisciplinary research projects, driving the development of new technologies and methodologies to advance musculoskeletal health globally.
Skills Required
- Expertise in ML Ops processes, including the deployment and productization of AI/ML models.
- Proficiency with AWS Data Analytics Services, including but not limited to S3, Lake Formation, Redshift or Snowflake, Glue, Athena, SageMaker, Lambda and Step Functions.
- Proficient and hands-on experience with Data Transformation tools like Spark, Talend, or similar technologies.
- Advanced programming skills in Python and SQL for effective data manipulation and pipeline construction.
- Experience with image analysis and natural language processing (NLP) in a healthcare setting is highly advantageous.
Education & Work Experience
- Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in ML Ops and data engineering, preferably within healthcare.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams and manage complex projects within data-driven environments.
