Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) Lead
Fluor & Energy Materials, an Orbia business, is looking for a Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) Lead to be based at Madison, WI!
Job Summary/ Purpose
Develop, implement, and carry out approved policies, procedures and programs for employee protection, health, including industrial hygiene, behavioral safety, fire/hazardous materials, site security, plant protection, and the protection of the environment.
Coordinate the site process safety management program, support incident investigations, develop and provide site and regulatory required HSE training.
Conduct internal HSE audits, lead and document Risk Assessments and support supervision on Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).
Be the source of formal hazard evaluation expertise for new projects and change management for the Electrolyte Blending Facility and R&D Laboratory in Madison, WI.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop, organize, and support the implementation of comprehensive programs in the environment, safety, industrial hygiene, and loss control within the sites
- Keep site Health, Safety, and Environmental (HS&E) policies and practices updated and current to meet requirements of new or changing company Policies/Standards or federal/state/local regulations.
- Execute hazard analysis of new chemical introduction for new products and new development projects
- Lead waste disposal efforts for both laboratory and production areas.
- Assist in hazardous material shipments and receipts
Minimum Qualifications
Academic Level: Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline
Language(s) and level of proficiency: English, fluent
Knowledge/ Experience Required
5 years of experience in occupational safety, environmental protection, or other representative activities, preferably in a chemical processing environment.
Knowledge and understanding of process safety management principles
