The Role:


The eCommerce Digital Product Manager plays an important role in managing the smooth functioning and continuous improvement of the ecommerce program’s product workstream by facilitating effective execution and ensuring Customer satisfaction.

The eCommerce Digital Product Manager supports ecommerce program with responsibilities including: managing the product development workstream by defining, gathering and clarifying requirements for product enhancements; analyzing and improving the digital Customer experience; owning site quality testing and verification; proposing site improvements and fixes; compiling dashboards and creating reports; and project support. Working closely with ecommerce program management, IT, merchandising and online marketing personnel

eCommerce Digital Product Management

  • Gathers and analyzes requirements for epic enhancements and initiatives as outlined by the program roadmap, translates requirements into actionable tasks and tickets for the program backlog.
  • Manages the eCommerce product backlog in JIRA, ensuring that priorities are up to date and tickets have complete information.
  • Partners with IT to facilitate release management activities; leads sprint grooming, planning & retrospective ceremonies.
  • Accountable for the execution of release acceptance validation (RAV) testing in support of the product development workstream.
  • Leverages digital experience tools to analyze the Customer experience, inform the product roadmap, and populate the product backlog.
  • Develops user stories and identifies site enhancements that improve the Customer experience and interfaces with the IT team to ensure that requirements are understood, actionable, and delivered.
  • Manages the delivery of projects within the scope of the product workstream; develops requirements documents and project plans to ensure milestones are met and projects are successfully completed within the given timeline
  • Maintains and updates documentation such as business requirements, testing scenarios, specifications, etc.
  • Reports potential product issues and proposes options to remedy.
  • Collaborates with Online Marketing & Merchandising resources to develop product enhancements to meet cross-promotional requirements.
  • Supports Marketing, Content, and Merchandising workstreams with implementation of initiatives by serving as a subject matter expert (SME) of platform & product capabilities.
  • Develops dashboards and creates accurate and timely reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs) to spot and analyzes trends in the digital product experience.

eCommerce Customer Experience Support 

  • Supports Customer issues resolution as the product SME. Escalates issues to relevant stakeholders as required. 
  • Analyzes trends in Customer issues in order to identify areas for improvement to the Customer experience. 
  • Demonstrates and trains internal and external Customers on the eCommerce site and creates supporting documents and materials as required.



Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum 5 years of experience in eCommerce
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of eCommerce sites, including website and product maintenance with CMS Admin tools as well as the governing policies and procedures.
  • Experience with ticketing software (JIRA, TFS, etc)  
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the software development lifecycle
  • Experience with Agile methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) with ability to turn complex concepts into simple language; comfortable interacting with Customers if required
  • Technology fluency and ability to learn new applications/platforms quickly and thoroughly
  • Strong analytical ability relative to IT systems and web performance metrics, trends, user experience such as Google Analytics, FullStory, and voice of Customer tools to identify opportunities and prioritize work
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency; fulfilled by driving action
  • Ability to work well independently and collaboratively in a team environment
