The Role:
As part of the leadership team for the site, you will have overall responsibility for developing, directing, coordinating and maintaining all talent initiatives. This role will be responsible for the development and deployment of HR policies, programs, processes, and best practices throughout the manufacturing facility. The incumbent will be responsible for managing day-to-day employee and labor relations in accordance with legal, divisional, and corporate guidelines.
In this function you will:
Drive positive employee/labor relations to provide an optimal work environment for all employees. Effectively deploy communication plans and utilize assessment tools (e.g. the employee survey) to determine organizational issues and action plans. Exemplify and lead values, philosophy and ethics.
Responsible for managing labor relations with the local union which includes facilitating proper adherence to the collective bargaining agreement and partnering with union leadership.
Build organizational capability through ownership of talent management processes including acquisition, assessment, performance management and employee development.
Develop HR talent by mentoring and developing HR Leadership Development Program Participants.
Lead in a variety of health and safety initiatives including but not limited to: Safety Category champion, Employee Engagement Team Lead, Ergonomics Team co-lead, and other safety/environmental programs established for the facility for a safe work environment.
Implement, promote and maintain a safe work environment by implementing a zero-incident culture.
Coach and influence leadership regarding policies, practices, laws and regulations to ensure all human resource policies and programs follow local and governmental regulatory requirements and are driving an engaged culture.
Develop and deploy effective training process to meet the current and future needs of the strategic plans of the organization.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
2-5 years HR experience
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Business or Human Resources from an accredited institution
Previous experience working for a manufacturing organization
HR certification
