Maintenance Supervisor - Chemical Manufacturing

The Role:

• Manages work related to mechanical maintenance having responsibility for the corrective, preventative, and predictive maintenance program on the site assuring the reliable operation of site equipment.
  
• Oversees the day-to-day operations of the assigned maintenance department staff.
  
• Evaluates systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed.
  
• Sets and defines safety expectations and ensures all associates follow site procedures.
  
• Determine and assign craftsmen for specific jobs. 
  
• Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
  
• Provides technical Support to mechanic craftsmen and contract companies in the technical procedures assuring work quality and effectiveness.
  
• Monitors productivity and progress of specific jobs.
  
• Monitors key maintenance metrics (PM completion, MTBF, MTTF, equipment downtime, crafts productivity) and manage maintenance program to drive business initiatives and site reliability.
  
• Leads and requires safe execution of all maintenance work and activity by mechanic craft employees
  
• Is responsible to maintain and manage the Quality System, EHS, and Training programs in his area of responsibility.
  
• Is responsible for applying the Company's disciplinary procedures in accordance with the site's Code of Conduct.
  

Requirements

• BS Engineering, BA Business or AS in Manufacturing or Maintenance related field or 5-10 yrs. equivalent work-related experience in the manufacturing environment as a minimum. Must have demonstrable leadership experience.
  
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  
• Working knowledge of SAP
  
• Strong written and verbal skills
  
• Excellent organizational skills
  
• Required Work Experience:
  
• Maintenance experience in a chemical manufacturing environment 
  
• Previous experience supervising unionized workforce
  
• Process knowledge of special chemical operations
  
• Supervision of craftspeople including administration of Code of Conduct and CBA
  
• Prioritize job assignments, drive continuous improvements and safety-related activities
