The Role:
The Manufacturing Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the management and direction of all of hourly maintenance associates and their respective activities. Responsibilities include the safety, quality, productivity and morale of the associates to ensure efficient maintenance practices and execution of an effective maintenance support function in the plant. This includes hiring and training of technicians, execution of PM program, utilization of CMMS system to manage labor and parts utilization, work order tracking and completion, etc. Other responsibilities include in-plant upgrades to manufacturing equipment to align with company and division standards, supporting any regulatory compliance (OSHA, NFPA, Environmental), troubleshooting assistance, etc. Approximately (10) hourly direct reports include controls technician and electro/mechanics covering a 3 shift, 24x5 operation with periodic weekend schedules.
What you'll be doing:
Ensure the safety of all employees; lead a comprehensive safety process to prevent injuries. Comply with all federal, state, and local environmental and safety regulations (EPA, OSHA, etc.).
Ensure preventive maintenance program is implemented and equipment maintained.
Coordinate troubleshooting, breakdown repairs, planned work.
Develop subordinates through education, training, and teamwork.
Hire, train, direct and mentor employees with diverse language, cultural and educational background.
Lead maintenance department in Maintenance Excellence objectives.
Coordinate maintenance scheduling to meet production demands, manage overtime and monitor costs.
Assist with implementation of capital projects to improve operational performance and facility condition.
Develop positive working relationships with others in the organization to drive operational improvements and success in the plant.
