The Role:
The SAP Program Manager leads IT project teams in providing IT solutions to complex, high-impact business problems from project requests through the implementation of integrated solutions and/or infrastructure services. Has ongoing accountability for all processes, resources, budgets, and deliverables related to IT projects. Oversees the team of internal and external IT resources as they plan, track and execute the project from start to completion. Recommends changes to improve the IT project management methodology. This position also includes:
- Reduces company-wide-impacting business requirements into global, structured IT programs.
- Delivers the complex, IT programs in the plan of record, typically leading a team of IT project managers and coordinators.
- Resolves complex scope, budget, and timeline conflicts, influencing executive-level sponsors as appropriate.
- Upgrades the overall IT project methodologies with industry-leading best practices
Responsibilities:
- Develops and maintains relationships with senior leaders and executives in the organization.
- Manages consulting partners in planning and delivery of IT programs.
- Maintains a strong external perspective about how other leading edge companies are solving similar problems and challenges.
Requirements
- Experience managing projects in key/core areas of technology (Core SAP ERP, CRM, SAP Cloud Applications, BI, NetWeaver, and integration technologies)
- Experience in end-to-end SAP delivery of IT projects
- Experience integrating SAP platforms and components with non-SAP platforms and third-party tools
- Experience managing projects across multiple ERP/CRM platforms preferred.
- Managed at least 2 full worldwide implementations of SAP S4 or C4 Sales/Service
- Strong foundation in program management having managed and delivered multiple enterprises IT programs focused on the implementation of packaged/custom IT applications supporting core business processes
- Demonstrated ability to manage financials for capital projects
- Track record of leading enterprise IT programs from inception to delivery
- Domain expertise in product lifecycle management is a plus

- Ability to translate complex and sometimes conflicting business goals and objectives into Business and IT strategies and plans, demonstrating good judgment and financial acumen
- Ability to establish a clear vision and direction for the organization
- Demonstrates courage to make difficult decisions and align an organization and drive for results
- Communicates effectively at all levels in the organization with senior levels in the business functions and Information Technology
- A key differentiator will be candidates with leadership experience in complex, highly cross-functional, global environments
- A passion for defining key success criteria and achieving breakthrough results; demonstrated ability to drive a strategy and make course corrections, where necessary
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong industry and product knowledge to ensure we make the right technology investments for the company
Education/Experience:
- Bachelors or Master Degree or University Degree or equivalent.
- Typically 10 to 12 years relevant experience for entry to this level.
- Post-graduate and/or certification /license may be required.
- Possesses in-depth skills acquired through advanced training, study and experience and internal recognition in the specialty
