Corporate Nurse Educator

SUMMARY

The Clinical Educator provides staff development expertise as an educator, consultant, facilitator, change agent, leader and researcher. They support the development of the bedside nurse and foster empowerment through knowledge to achieve excellence through the delivery of evidenced based nursing practice. This occurs through the facilitation of the educational process through assessment, development, planning, implementation and evaluation of competency assessment, continuing education and leadership development. In addition, as a role model of professional behavior, the Clinical Educator is instrumental in creating a professional nursing climate within their assigned department and location.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum Education: Possession of Master’s Degree in Nursing from a recognized college or university.
• Minimum Experience: Two (2) years of recent acute care experience or nursing instructor experience required. Previous experience in orientation of new graduate nurses is strongly preferred.
• Required License/Certifications: Current and valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of California, Current Basic Life Support (AHA), Advanced Cardiac Life Support up (AHA), Pediatric Advanced Life Support upon hire. NIHSS Certification and ABM/MAB within 60 days of hire, annual thereafter.
