Director of Nursing - Emergency Dept

The Trauma and ED is accountable for directing the activities of both the Trauma and the Emergency Department. Is accountable for the delivery of high quality nursing care and for the administrative management of the nursing unit on a 24-hour basis. Responsible for planning and development, oversight of education, injury prevention, and oversight of performance improvement (PI).


Requirements:

  • Current California RN license
  • Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS preferred
  • ED nursing experience required
  • 3 – 5 years trauma nursing experience preferred
  • Bachelors required, Master’s degree preferred
  • Strong computer skills with knowledge of windows and outlook
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, flexible, experience in public speaking

Knowledge of injury prevention, ICD-9 and 10 coding desired
