KPMG is currently seeking a Sr. Associate, Data Analytics to join our Audit Professional Practice.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Engagement Management and Monitoring (EMMT), Process Leaders in the design and strategy for EMMT projects; be seen as a technical resource for knowledge of data collection methods, sampling, and data analysis
- Maintain a database containing a variety of metrics across various systems; evaluates and determines whether the information is reliable and complete
- Work with other EMMT members, designing research studies to understand factors that impact audit quality
- Determine the appropriate sample sizes for qualitative and quantitative research studies that would result in valid conclusions
- Aid in development and review of question sets for qualitative data collection efforts while using data-driven analytics to generate findings and develop insights
- Evaluate and select appropriate analytical strategies and tools applicable to specific problems and clearly communicate insight from data analysis in context to specific audiences
Qualifications:
- Minimum three years of recent experience designing, analyzing, and reporting on qualitative and quantitative research studies and experience interpreting and analyzing large volumes of data
- Advanced degree from an accredited college/university in field-of-study specializing in qualitative and quantitative analysis (e.g., psychology, sociology, education, and statistics)
- Experience with qualitative research methods, including open-ended surveys, interviews, document reviews, and focus groups with the knowledge of sampling guidelines for qualitative and quantitative research (200TEC)
- Knowledge of qualitative analysis techniques including coding/categorizing, Fishbone Diagramming, 5 Whys, flowcharting, SIPOCs, Logic Trees, surveys and system inquires as well as ability to create data collection instruments based on the research method
- Ability to create data collection instruments based on the research method with the ability to select and apply appropriate qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques based on the nature of the collected data (Proficient in analytical tools e.g., PowerBI, Alteryx, and SPSS)
- Strong project management skills
