KPMG is currently seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join our Tax Ignition Team.
Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze business requirements and provide technical feasibility and estimates, as well as work closely with Indirect Tax business team, clients and various technology teams to ensure development of a quality product
- Take ownership and accountability of development process and the development team through the entire software lifecycle which includes Architecture, Design, Development, DevOps; perform moderately complex bug verification, release testing, and beta support for assigned products
- Define and develop enterprise scale solutions leveraging programming technologies like Angular 14 , Web Service, C#, Microsoft .NET and JavaScript technologies with SQL/NoSQL as the database backend in both MS Azure cloud and on-prem environment; design database schema, develop stored procedures in MS SQL database
- Design and development of solutions that integrate with vendor tools seamlessly utilizing REST services and other integrations using design patterns; prepare and review technical artifacts to help document technical architecture, design and deployment diagrams
- Mentor software developers by reviewing written code and enforcing organizational development standards and coaches more junior colleagues in techniques, processes, and responsibilities
- Practice standard development process leveraging agile methodologies such as SCRUM and enforce development standards defined by the department on best practices
- Minimum five years of recent experience in development, unit testing and troubleshooting of large applications with a minimum of two years in a technical lead function in a .NET, C# SQL Server environment
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in engineering, computer science or Information is preferred
- Advanced level of knowledge on application development using these technologies is preferred
- Experience in designing database schema, develop stored procedures and other database objects on SQL Server; similar experience in comparable technologies such as Oracle is accepted
- Demonstrated working knowledge of web debugging tools like Fiddler, Browser developer tools, debugger and more
- Experience in leading and developing teams on projects in a fast-paced client facing dynamic environment
