KPMG is currently seeking an Associate Director, PMO Leader to join our Audit Learning and Development organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of project managers and provides training and coaching, including project management process, tools and behavioral skills
  • Oversee day to day operation of the Audit project management team, including resources, workload, and processes; escalates and resolves project/program risks through collaboration with project managers and critical stakeholders
  • Set the vision and goals for the Project Management team, communicate high standards of performance, and establish and measure the team's performance against measurable KPIs
  • Support the PMO Center of Excellence Leader in the implementation of PMO strategy, contributing to the department wide effectiveness and efficiency goals
  • Identify opportunities for improvements in effectiveness/efficiency including developing documentation; define and implement project management process and tools with input from key stakeholders
  • Act as the project/program manager for certain key strategic or high priority initiatives when needed to conduct project initiation and planning activities, drive project execution, manage and track status of scope, schedule, budget and deliverables and report to team and leadership

Qualifications:

  • Minimum eight years of recent business experience with three or more focused on project/program management
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; PMP Certification strongly preferred
  • Proficient in technology tools such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Project/Clarizen; basic knowledge of adult learning principles and processes
  • Proven ability to motivate others as well as advanced influence, collaboration, relationship building, negotiation and people skills; strong communicator with the capability to tailor to and influence various audiences
  • Able to work in a matrix environment with multiple project team members and multiple scopes of authority toward a common goal, agile and able to work in a fast-paced environment dealing with rapid changes; ability to communicate strategy and enroll full commitment in others
  • Strong creative problem-solving, negotiation and collaboration skills; strategic and critical thinking skills, including exercising professional judgment, strong organizational, planning and time management skills; deep knowledge of tasks and details needed to complete development of a variety of learning modalities including recognition of critical paths; knowledge of PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge) principles including budgeting, forecasting and resource management
