KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate, Category Sourcing to join our KPMG's Strategic Sourcing and Procurement organization.
Responsibilities:
- Provide sourcing category expertise in Marketing and Creative Services categories and supportive contracting experience in sub-categories such as Marketing Technologies, PR, Events, Communications, Marketing Research and Creative Services
- Partner with the business to build influence, evaluate and challenge the status quo; educate and enforce compliance to procurement policies and ensure adoption; build strong trusting relationships with business partners
- Implement strategies to best manage the supplier base for the Marketing and Creative Services category, reviewing suppliers against contracted obligations/service levels, pricing, risk requirements and business expectations; develop and execute negotiation strategies to maximize total value and minimize risks; strong understanding of contract terms and techniques for driving value and managing risks
- Perform complex data analysis and build financial models i.e., ROI, NPV, supplier scorecards, savings tracking, inhouse vs. outsource decision models; execute strategic sourcing projects using common sourcing practices to deliver exceptional total value in partnership with key stakeholders across the firm
- Work with suppliers and key stakeholders to manage supplier performance and develop new capabilities; give suppliers feedback on performance, continuous improvement, and innovation; detect performance issues and determine root cause and work with internal stakeholders and suppliers to drive to an efficient resolution
- Lead, support and conduct successful contract negotiations; work with legal and other areas to ensure proper representation and enforcement of critical terms and conditions
Qualifications:
- Minimum three years of related work experience in sourcing, contract negotiation, supplier management, outsourcing, and project management
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
- Experience demonstrating success in positions of increasing complexity; combination of management consulting & line role experience desired
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative and influencing skills to effectively navigate a complex management and organization structure with a high degree of ambiguity; ability to work effectively with suppliers, project team members, project sponsors, functional leads, and senior management
- Solid organizational, time management and project management skills; able to execute on multiple projects, RFXs and contract negotiations simultaneously
- Proven analytical, financial, problem solving, organization and project management skills to include stakeholder and meeting facilitation skills; executive presence, presentation, and engagement experience
