KPMG is currently seeking a Technical, Project-Director to join our Growth and Strategy organization.
Responsibilities:
- Improve delivery of solutions to business clients and leverage project management knowledge across the IT organization; evolve program and project management capabilities; establish positive and collaborative relationships with customers and demonstrate a clear understanding of both internal and external customer requirements and measurement criteria
- Consult with internal customers on project initiation statements, project definition reports, business cases and benefits realization estimate and responsible for defining project scope; identify, manage and control changes to scope
- Design and manage project operating costs, request budget allocation and reallocations and ensure project and program is within budget; develop and maintain project artifacts such as stakeholder analysis and status reporting
- Produce work plans and work programs including estimates and resource requirements; formulate and execute behavioral change management plan to ensure user adoption of new systems and processes
- Communicate project status and be the project advocate; be responsible for risk and issue management; integrate and align with other processes and solutions; participate in and facilitate post project/phase reviews to cultivate a learning organization
- Create and build relationships with business partners, peers and managers across external teams including Governance, Risk and Security to aid in moving projects and programs forward as needed
Qualifications:
- Minimum eight years of progressive IT project management experience; preferably within a large multi-tier organization
- Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college/university
- Strong project management skills with experience in planning and executing multiple medium-scale projects from definition through implementation, involving internal personnel and consultants with the ability to manage one to three medium risk projects concurrently, including multi-phase and multi-track projects
- Project management experience that includes application development, package implementation, infrastructure and IT transformation projects and comfortable working within an existing IT project governance framework; versed in Microsoft Office suite of applications and experience in using project planning tools such as MS Project and Planview
- Knowledge of full lifecycle project management, software development and infrastructure deployment methodologies and industry best practices; experience building collaborative environments, teaming cultures and customer service mindset among project teams; capability to understand the strategic initiatives of the business partner and act as an advocate for their technology initiatives as it relates to the long-term prospects for the firm as a whole
- Exceptional verbal/written communication skills with the capacity to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of responsibility and authority; able to prioritize, delegate and foster the development of high-performance teams to lead/support an environment driven by customer service and teamwork; excellent trouble-shooting and organizational skills
