What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full-Time: Media Services Coordinator position at KQED?
The Media Services Coordinator (MSC) is at the frontline of support for radio programming and audio productions across all KQED content units. The MSC supports KQED production staff in a hybrid environment, working both at our recently remodeled studios and at home. The MSC is a liaison between these content creators and our engineering and operations teams. While there are opportunities for the MSC to work from home, this is an in-person position. This position requires expertise in our studio operation. The MSC has administrative responsibilities in several media asset management systems and digital audio workstations.
The MSC also helps develop, document, and implement workflows to ensure a successful system for managing scripts, media, and metadata. This person trains users and updates the proper workflow protocols as needed.
Additionally, the MSC assists the Media Operations Manager in coordinating field audio equipment and troubleshooting equipment issues.
