The Kraft Heinz Company is currently seeking a Team Leader to work at our facility in Springfield- MO. Ideal candidates must be motivated to work in a team-orientated- fast-paced environment. This position requires individuals to perform duties in a food manufacturing environment following strict quality and safety standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lead a team and deliver the targets required. Basic skills regarding situational leadership- communication/escalation- and professional development.
- Good oral and written communication skills are a must for this position.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Must have a working knowledge of basic computer functions- and good math and reading skills.
- Typing skills and a working knowledge or ability to learn SAP- Kronos- OEE- Quality Suite- Word- and Excel.
- Perform all other duties as assigned my management.
- Tolerant- mature- responsible adult temperament- seriousness to job- capable of accepting constructive criticism- while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Overtime and hours may vary as required.
- Self-motivated- able to multi-task and work independently.
- Punctual and reliable.

Work Schedule:
We are a 24/7 facility offering 8-hour shifts- 10-hour shifts and 12-hour rotating shifts.

Job Responsibilities:
- Understand and apply KHMS (Kraft Heinz Management System) practices such as 5S- centerline management- shift hand-offs- operational standard ownership/support- problem solving- etc.
- Ensure line staffing needs are met.
- Apply company policies and practices in a fair and consistent manner.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with ALL associates.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
- Take initiative to achieve results and promote continuous improvement.
- Coach and mentor team members- helping them with role assigned to them.
- Understanding of production and sanitation theories and procedures- i.e.- QCMS.
- Supportive of plant and department goals.
- Participate in 30/60/90 process and Personal Improvement Plan
- Accountable for the Safety- Health and Environmental systems and operational standards to ensure compliance as it is outlined in our policies/procedures and processes.
- Provide hands-on support for projects occurring in the department. Ensures all costs are charged to R&D
- Demonstrate and coach OSCAR board commitment to standards.
Physical Requirements:
- Performs bending- squatting- kneeling- sorting- and reaching to both ground level and overhead.
- Lifts- carries- pushes- lifts- and grips objects; climbs stairs.
- Routinely pulls and moves up to 50 pounds.
- Must possess manual dexterity necessary to operate equipment and disassemble and reassemble equipment.
- Must be able to stand while inserting components.
- Must be able to do sustained activity jobs.
- Ability to adjust to temperature changes (lower 40s to upper 90s); can be in hot/humid or cool environment depending on assigned job tasks.
Plant Overview:
- Over 1-000 employees make up the team at the Springfield facility.
- A variety of cheese products (Sliced/Chunk/Shred)- and pasta Mac & Cheese meals are produced at this location.
