Position: Floor Manager

Kraken Kourts & Skates is actively seeking energetic floor managers to join our crew!

Situated in the heart of Washington, DC, Kraken Kourts & Skates is not your traditional tavern, it's a venue offering multiple experiences including the 2nd largest indoor pickleball facility on the east coast, a roller-skating rink, and bar service, catering to small and large-scale events. It is a place our guests go to have a cold beer, catch up with friends, and enjoy multiple family-friendly experiences all under one roof.

Role Description

Floor managers arrive at each of their scheduled shifts ready to provide excellent guest experiences, exceeding guests' needs and expectations. A talented Floor Manager works efficiently in high-pressure environments and remains attentive to the needs of guests and crew members. With excellent troubleshooting skills, floor managers work alongside their crew to ensure guest service issues or questions are addressed to the guest's satisfaction. They provide the perfect combination of professional and personable interactions all while driving consistency in service and product. Floor managers utilize their knowledge of current alcohol laws to promote a safe and compliant space for crew and guests.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining a neat, organized front-of-house environment
  • Assisting with opening/closing tasks and side work
  • Ensuring safety and food & beverage quality standards are met
  • Managing online ticketing platforms for internal data tracking and an elevated guest experience
  • Managing rental counters and efficiently administering rentals for guests
  • Keeping guests happy and handling complaints appropriately
  • Building rapport with our guests and vendors
  • Maintaining a positive image of the Kraken brand at all times
  • Collaborating with our partners when they promote their products in our units
  • Sharing event details provided by the marketing and operations teams to ensure our brands are advertised effectively and efficiently
  • Putting on a remarkable show, producing Kraken branded events.
  • Be a relentless perfectionist with a positive attitude who has a high level of attention to mastering the minutia and competitive spirit

Qualifications

  • Relevant service or hospitality experience
  • Ability to work safely and efficiently
  • Ability to speak to groups
  • Experience working with Point of Sale (POS) and reservation systems
  • Flexible availability
  • Commitment to and alignment with the company's core values
  • Attend huddles to gain knowledge and understanding of our various events and locations
  • Ability to operate point-of-sales systems
  • Ability to take and place food and beverage orders accurately.
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds for short periods of time
