Job Description:
Global private equity owned manufacturer looking for a well-rounded accounting professional with a proven track record of working with teams to achieve positive results, and a demonstrated ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions. This role reports directly to the Global Corporate Controller and will be a key contributor working both with the corporate accounting and finance team, as well as business unit controllers. This position will be a valued partner of the Accounting/Finance team in driving improvement throughout the Company.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual internal and external financial statements and supporting the annual external audit
- Perform ad-hoc analysis and reporting of financial results
- Prepare and review month-end consolidation entries and intercompany accounting
- Facilitate treasury operations, including compiling and preparing cash flow forecasts from the global organization, preparing daily bank/debt reporting to the organization and owners
- Work with the corporate finance team on GAAP technical issues and implementation
- Support implementing and enhancing financial reporting process improvements across the entire organization
- Help develop and monitor global controllership authorization policies (e.g. authorized purchase levels, cycle count compliance and monitoring)
- Compile global reporting for fixed assets, debt, and other schedules supporting cash flow statement and understanding the business
- Support month/year end closing process – preparing/reviewing journal entries, reconciliations and supporting analysis
- Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements and Experience:
The successful candidate will have the following knowledge and technical experience:
- Motivated self-starter, ability to work independently
- Effective communication skills, ability to manage multiple projects, strong analysis skills
- Quality management— looks for ways to improve and promote quality and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- CPA Preferred
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in public and/or private accounting
- Strong knowledge and understanding of GAAP
- Manufacturing industry experience preferred
Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
