Kratos is seeking a Technical Order Developer for our Federal Software Engineering and Data Products Development team. The Technical Order Developer shall modify common electronic documentation made available on-line to the satellite operators. This on-line documentation includes technical orders/manuals. The Technical Order effort will include all activities required to maintain currency, accuracy, and availability of the TOs. This also includes maintaining and updating the Separate Attendant Checklists (SAC).The position includes support of dynamic, fast-paced projects that span all phases of the software development lifecycle, including design, development, test, and customer support. As part of a small team, this developer will also participate in the development and maintenance of various data products for various satellite programs with a focus on Technical Orders (TOs). Additional data product development may include the following:

• Human Machine Interface GUIs (HMIs)
• Task Automated Operations (TAOs)
• Orbital Analysis (OA)

The ideal candidate has experience with satellite telemetry and commanding, including software development in EPOCH Product Suite. This candidate must be self-motivated, work well independently and as part of a larger team, be a self-learner, have strong attention to detail, and be able to adhere to strict timelines. Experience with software development life cycle is also required. Candidate must be able to quickly and efficiently generate estimates and status of design efforts, including materials (such as presentation slides), for use internally as well as with customers. Good written and oral communication skills strongly desired.
Experience and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum of 2-5 years’ experience in
  • Technical Order Development
  • Development, Software Testing and System Engineering Lifecycles
  • Adobe Acrobat Professional
  • Software Version Control
  • Microsoft Product Suite
• Candidate must be self-motivated and capable of working independently and with others
• Candidate must be able to articulate technical concepts orally and in written form
• Current Secret level clearance required with ability to increase level to TS-SCI

DESIRED:

• Five to eight years’ experience in
  • EPOCH Product Suite
  • Technical Order Development
  • HMI Development
  • TAO Development
  • OASYS (Orbitial Analysis System)
  • OA Operations
  • A software test environment, including regression testing
  • Scripting/Programming (Perl, C, Python, Java)
  • Git Version Control
• Knowledge of Command and Control Consolidated (CCS-C) system.

Competitive salary based on experience and education
Salary Range: $60,000-$115,000
