6 scheduled wage increases in the first 2.5 years, OT pay after 40 hours/week, and shift differential pay!
We are looking for mechanically inclined candidates with good attention to detail for the position of Trailer Technician. The primary duties of a Trailer Technician include performing preventative maintenance and general repairs on trailer units to Company and DOT standards.
Trailer Technicians need to be highly organized and communicate effectively, as they will be expected to maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles and interact with drivers on a daily basis.
Trailer Technician Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair medium to heavy-duty and trailers, including preventative maintenance, inspections, repair to air brakes, tires, warranty procedures, suspension, electrical, lights and mobile AC refrigeration.
Identify, diagnosis, and resolve trailer related issues, abs, wheel seals, bearings and hubs.
Diagnose and repair trailer components such as doors, floors and side panels.
Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on trailer equipment including routine technical repairs and completing repair orders.
Remain technically proficient in all areas of the shop including tractor, trailer, tire, and basic parts administration.
Perform general or routine welding (MIG, stick, steel and aluminum) with or without prints.
Use effective interpersonal skills to maintain positive working relationships with team members, all personnel and external vendors.
Ensuring the cleanliness of the shop.
Contribute to the goals of the shop, leadership team, and Company as a whole.
Utilize appropriate resources, such as the parts manual and computer, service bulletins and other resources to research problems, determine most effective and efficient method for repair and locate parts.
Document work order details within the Company’s internal order and billing program.
Trailer Technician Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
Mechanically inclined.
Knowledge of trailer components.
Good diagnostic skills.
Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Proficiency with maintenance and repair tools.
Attention to detail.
Good interpersonal skills.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Good organization skills.
