About Our CNC Programmer Opportunity:
As a CNC Programmer you will join a growing team supporting our newly developed and exclusive fabrication process. We will rely on you to quickly acclimate to our proprietary equipment, software and materials, and efficiently design, test, and validate fixture elements for machining parts and supporting sub-assemblies. Communication is key in this role - your ability to understand and relay production needs, collaborate with other team members, and adhere to timelines is essential in optimizing the output and workflow of the digital fabrication arm of our manufacturing process.
Some of the Things Our CNC Programmer Do:
- Design and develop 5-axis toolpaths for CNC machining.
- Develop new machining processes and techniques with internally-developed hardware.
- Ensure reliability of programs for consistent and reliable operation / lights-out machining.
- Communicate effectively with team members within and across departments to ensure that designs perform as-intended and for their efficient fabrication.
- Participate in cross-training with existing staff, train new employees, and assist with improving existing training documents as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5 years of experience as a CNC Programmer in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to understand, schedule and execute on daily production plans and achieve stated output goals.
- Proficiency with CAM software (PowerMILL preferred) for 5-axis toolpath creation.
- Proficiency with 3D CAD (Solidworks, Fusion 360 - Rhino strongly preferred).
- Familiarity with creation / editing of project templates and macros.
- Familiarity with programming languages (i.e. Python, C , Java) is a huge plus.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain file structure on our server.
- Strong communication skills and ability to condense & simplify complex information for other team members and shop staff.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
