What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender and Server position at Kro Bar & Grill?
At Kro Bar & Grill we are looking for an enthusiastic bartender to provide an excellent guest drinking experience. Good bartenders will be able to create classic and specialty drinks. They will also be able to fulfill customers’ needs, wants, and expectations to the best of their ability. Compensation includes hourly wage and tips. Employees are given a discount on all apparel. The yearly bartender license renewal fee is covered by the company. All new and incoming employees will go through a two week orientation and training program.
Our hours are as followed:
- Monday 11:00am - 2:00am
- Tuesday 11:00am - 2:00am
- Wednesday 11:00am - 2:00am
- Thursday 11:00am - 2:00am
- Friday 11:00am - 2:30am
- Saturday 10:00am - 2:30am
- Sunday 10:00am - 2:00am
Day and Night shift switch at 4:00pm everyday.
Hours and shifts are flexible and subjected to change. Any and all appointments, vacations, personal events, etc., should be communicated to the scheduling manager 3 weeks prior to date or before (if possible). Any call in's or sick day absences will require a written note or email explaining the reason for absence, or a doctor's note if applicable.
Tasks, Duties, & Responsibilities
- Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant customers
- Ability to prepare deep-fried food and pizzas after kitchen is closed (training for this will be provided during the two week training and orientation)
- Interact with customers, take orders and serve food and drinks
- Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
- Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
- Present and explain menus
- Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age requirements and tobacco age requirements (this will be further covered and explained during the required Wisconsin Bartenders License course)
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations and laws
Skills
- Previous work experience as a bartender and server is recommended
- Knowledge on mixing, garnishing and serving drinks is required
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills is required
- Conflict resolution skills are recommended
- Ability to keep your workspace organized, stocked, and clean is required
- Ability to process payments in the form of cash, credit, debt, or check is required
Qualifications
- Wisconsin Bartenders License server/seller certificate for on-premises and off-premises sale of alcohol and tobacco products is required. (This certificate must have been completed within the past 2 years to be valid)
