The goal of the Youth Basketball department is to grow the sport of basketball while positioning the Nuggets brand as the premier destination for basketball in the Denver Market. We are creating an environment within or communities through unique basketball outlets where the youth feel like a part of our Denver Nuggets family.
Nature of Work:
Our Basketball Academy coaches and trainers will work in tandem with the Youth Basketball Director and Coordinator to execute various camp, clinic, and ancillary programs.
Examples of Work Performed:
- Follow and execute clinic and camp drills and activities
- Govern their own activity stations dedicated to teaching the fundamentals and advanced basketball skills
- Maintain an energetic and safe developmental environment
- Identify and cater to the unique needs of individuals and groups
- Communicate clinic and camp needs to Youth Sports Director and/or Coordinator
- Supervise camp and clinic participants, children ages 4-14
- Other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands:
- Typical Office Conditions
- Continuous: standing, walking, jogging.
- Frequently: stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending at the waist, twisting, balancing, squatting, standing in place.
- Occasionally: running, lifting/moving equipment up to 45 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Experience coaching
- Experience playing basketball
- High school diploma or GED
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays
- Experience working in children’s basketball camps/clinics preferred
- Certified in first-aid, CPR and AED, or the willingness and ability to become certified

Compensation:
- $18-$20/hr
