Main duties and responsibilities
WHAT YOU WILL DO HERE
The primary purpose of the Plant Acountant is to be responsible for all accounting activities including business planning, financial forecasting, statistical reporting, audits, and limited tax activities. Effectively communicates accurate financial information in a timely manner. Implements and monitors internal controls to comply with company policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
- Experience implementing and day-to-day use of ERP systems
- Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be exceptionally self-motivated and directed. Energetic, forward-thinking and creative with high ethical standards
- A strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (word, excel, PowerPoint, publisher), and other various computer systems
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and people simultaneously
WHAT WILL PUT YOU AHEAD
- Knowledge of Federal and State financial regulations
- Manufacturing experience in finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost accounting preferred
- Ability to work on-call availability and periodic overtime
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time and have dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other computing equipment
This position may be required to work weekends and holidays.
