What are the responsibilities and job description for the Crane Operator and Driver position at Krueger Sheet Metal?
Krueger Sheet Metal, a sheet metal manufacturer, commercial roofing contractor, and architectural sheet metal installer, is seeking a crane operator/truck driver to join the team.
RESPONSIBILITIES (not limited to):
- Safely and efficiently load and unload building materials from commercial motor vehicles
- Legally, safely, and efficiently travel to destinations through public and private roads
- Understanding of height, weight, and length limits for company's fleet of trucks as to load trucks safely and efficiently
- Support the crew with materials and equipment
- Ensure that appropriate paperwork is completed
- Follow delivery procedures by taking photos of the delivered shipment after completing each delivery
- Perform daily pre/post trip inspections of all equipment
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with customers, contractors, and vendors
- Perform required safety audit of vehicle (daily safety audits, weekly brake inspections) and promptly report any malfunctioning equipment
- Promptly report all accidents/incidents
- Maintain yard, warehouse, and vehicle cleanliness during course of work
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Class A CDL
- Crane Operator Certificate (NCCCO certified)
- Current DOT Medical Card
- Acceptable driving record
- OSHA Certified Forklift License
- Clearinghouse Qualification
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Drug Free
PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in roofing and construction
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to lift up to 90 lbs.
- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to sit for an extended period of time
- Ability to stoop, bend and walk
COMPENSATION:
- Wage $30.50 - $32.50 DOE
