Supervisory Responsibilities
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; delegating tasks to and partnering with employees who have leadership responsibilities; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Employees are required to conduct their work in a safe and legal manner, according to all GMP food safety standards as well as following all compliance and CM safety protocols. Employees must be willing to be responsible for their safety and health as well as the safety and health of all employees, vendors and visitors.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
This position requires working in both manufacturing and office environments. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone along with reaching. Specific vision abilities include close vision requirements due to computer work. Moderate noise, ability to work in a confined area, and ability to sit at a computer for an extended period of time are also included. Must be able to effectively communicate and work in a dynamic environment. You may also be on your feet for several hours a day and may be exposed to a variety of physical demands that require you to lift heavy objects, climb stairs, exert energy, bend, twist and squat and use tools and equipment in an indoor production environment that has a high level of food dust and limited climate control while wearing PPE.

Essential Functions

- Initiate and execute the successful implementation of all capital projects - Identification, Feasibility, Design, Procurement, Construction, and Start-up
- Manage financial performance, including expense/capital budgeting, expense/capital spending and results feedback
- Responsible for all facility and site maintenance activities
- Meet business needs with strategic and tactical planning and timely implementation of innovative solutions
- Establish safety as a top priority in training, equipment/job design, work assignment and regulatory compliance
- Evaluate team performance efficiencies and coordinates necessary resources
- Analyze current manufacturing processes and recommends improvements to improve safety, quality & efficiency
- Systematically solve problems and implement effective solutions to root causes of problems
- Support Site Quality Practices including GMP and Manufacturing in a Food Grade Environment
- Manages a pro-active, preventive maintenance operation to protect Company assets.
- Effectively coach, teach and coordinate programs for team members to develop technical, business and social skills
- Responsible for compliance with facility-related local, state and federal regulations
- Works closely with the other Plants/Plant Engineering Managers to optimize company as well as plant results.
- Provides TPM leadership, representing the Plant at a company-wide level

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent
- 8 years of leadership experience in continuously increasing levels of responsibility
- Experience in processing and packaging equipment within the food, beverage or pharmaceutical industry preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of all aspects of plant equipment and facilities
