Die Setter - 2nd Shift

Our client, Premier Tooling & Manufacturing is looking for at least 2nd shift Die Setters to join their team in their manufacturing facility located in Peosta, Iowa.  Their main duties include tool and machine setup related to metal stamping.  They seek talented, driven, and experienced individuals to support their teams in Manufacturing for their facility.

2nd Shift schedule is as follows - 4 Day Work Week!!!!

• Monday through Thursday, 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM. 
• Friday, Saturday and Sunday off!

Essential Functions:

• Support of the Safety Policy in day-to-day activities.
• Adherence to Lock Out / Tag Out procedure.
• Removal and replacement of stamping tools in presses utilizing fork trucks.
• Bolting tools in machines in a manner that ensures personal and operator safety.
• Setting tools to proper shut height through the use of defined set up procedures.
• Ensuring die protection is properly installed and functional.
• Train operators on the proper way to run the machine per the instructions.
• Identify and communicate continual improvement ideas.
• Direct quality related concerns the operators may have to quality assurance personnel.
• Job setups in related supportive manufacturing functions.
• In addition to these duties, Management reserves the discretion to add or modify the duties and responsibilities of this position at will.

Skills:

• Ability to operate micrometer, calipers, protractors, or specialized gaging after training.
• Ability to follow written and illustrated setup and process instructions.
• Patience and willingness to advance the knowledge and skills of subordinates.
• Interacts courteously and professionally as a team leader with a variety of operators.  
• Reliability concerning attendance and punctuality.
• Multilimb Coordination and manual dexterity allowing lifting capabilities up to fifty pounds.
• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with supporting departments.
• Knowledge of appropriate ISO policies and procedures

Experience and Education:

• High school diploma (or GED or high school equivalence certificate)
