What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Center Support position at KTEK RESOURCING?
Data Center Support:
· Daily Data center walk through: identify, document and address alert lights on servers/systems
· UCS Manager hardware alerts: Login to each FI using UCS manager and review alerts. (Open CISCO case, generating tech support logs and uploading them to the CISCO portal)
· IBM P-Series alerts: Daily Login to HMCs to review alerts. Open case with IBM support to address failure.
· Oracle T-Series alerts: Daily login to ILOMs to review alerts. Open case with Oracle support to address failure.
· Physical systems installation for technology refresh and new projects
· Troubleshooting and resolving hardware failures
· Physical systems decommission and removal from data centers.
· Retired systems disposal process – SIMS Recycling
· Failed HDD and retired systems HDD destruction process – SIMS Recycling
· Manage allocating IP addresses for VMs and blade servers and maintain tracking documentation
· Install SSL certificate on IBM Blade Center Management Module.
· Vendors access into the data center for service (Dell/EMC, Oracle, IBM, Curvature, Cohesity, CISCO, NetApp)
· RCO Tape Operations - Tape movement to and from offsite storage / Re-Call from Iron Mountain.
· Annual power redundancy tests – “All hands on deck” for this activity
· Annual data center power down for electrical maintenance.
· Manage cabinet/rack space and validate available power, network and fiber ports for new and refresh equipment installations. Coordinate requirements with Franklin Templeton General Services team.
· Participate in annual DR exercise
· Annual Tape Movement Audit
· Upgrade IBM HMC Operating System.
· Hands and eyes support for network equipment and storage Devices
· Data Center cleanliness and cable management in the cabinets.
· 7 x 24 x 365 On Call: High severity incident response for troubleshooting Priority 1 and Priority 2 Incidents.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Salary: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
