Job Description:  As the Employee Benefits and Leave Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing all aspects of employee benefits programs, leave management, and workers' compensation claims. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and administering comprehensive benefit plans, managing various types of employee leave, and handling workers' compensation claims efficiently and effectively.   Essential Responsibilities:  Develop and administer employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, and other perks, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices. Manage all aspects of employee leave programs, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, parental leave, and other statutory or company-specific leave policies. Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding benefits inquiries, leave requests, and workers' compensation claims, providing guidance, support, and resolution as needed. Process benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations accurately and in a timely manner using HRIS or other relevant systems, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Collaborate with insurance providers, brokers, and other vendors to negotiate contracts, evaluate plan options, and manage costs effectively. Communicate benefit offerings, leave policies, and workers' compensation procedures to employees through presentations, materials, and one-on-one consultations, promoting understanding and engagement. Coordinate workers' compensation claims process, including intake, investigation, documentation, and resolution, ensuring compliance with state laws and regulations. Partner with internal stakeholders, to facilitate the return-to-work process for injured employees and implement safety initiatives to prevent future incidents. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to benefits, leave, and workers' compensation claims, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations. Conduct regular audits and assessments of benefit programs, leave policies, and workers' compensation procedures to identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements as needed.   Minimum Qualifications:  Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., CEBS, PHR/SPHR) preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience in benefits administration, leave management, and workers' compensation claims processing, preferably in a corporate environment. Strong understanding of employee benefit programs, leave laws, and workers' compensation regulations, with the ability to interpret and apply complex rules and guidelines. Proficiency in benefits administration software, HRIS platforms, and workers' compensation claims management systems; experience with Ceridian Day Force is desirable. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences. Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations for program enhancements. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion and integrity. Knowledge of federal and Hawaii state regulations governing employee benefits, leave, and workers' compensation, including FMLA, ADA, workers' compensation laws, and OSHA regulations.
