Job purpose
- Manage supplier part schedules and related issues.
Duties and responsibilities
- Manage parts forecast to supplier based on business plan
- Manage overdue-for-receipt parts
- Manage receipt discrepancies
- Coordinate quality problem part scheduling
- Maintain and coordinate setup data related to suppliers
- Train suppliers on the use of KSLII program
- Performs special projects as requested and related tasks as needed.
Essential Skills and Experience
- High School or GED plus relatable work experience
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of Supply Chain and Lean Manufacturing concepts, practices, and procedures
- Competent PC skills (Microsoft Excel)
Preferred Qualifications/ Education
- BA/BS degree in Business, Materials Management or 2 years post-secondary education and 5 years planning experience
- Experience with AS400
- MRP / ERP planning experience
- Understanding of MRP, MPS, BOM and inventory management
Working conditions
- Office environment with frequent visits to Manufacturing and Warehouse environment.
- Occasional supplier visit could be required.
Physical requirements
- Office environment: Sitting at computer station and work area.
- Ability to walk the manufacturing floor.
