Your Role

You will ensure that the Kuehne Nagel Quality, Safety, Health, Environment, and Security (QSHE) Management systems and standards are implemented and maintained throughout multiple locations. You shall have previous experience managing quality teams and projects in the manufacturing and aerospace industry. You will cover QSHE responsibilities for multiple sites spread throughout the greater Phoenix, AZ area and Torrance, CA and therefore ability to travel weekly by required (mix of day and overnight trips). You will report to the Contract Logistics Site Manager.

Your Responsibilities

  • You will author, review, edit processes, and apply these to the respective logistics area, you must understand processes to extent that can suggest procedures, specification changes; know when changes may have possible effects on other areas and maintain to compliance document control and retention.
  • Knowledge of departmental procedures to serve as a guide during audits, ensure that the Standard Operating Systems and Consistency projects are implemented and maintained and ensure that the required Training is provided to support QSHE, Security and Operating Systems.
  • You will oversee the internal auditing to schedule of Quality, Safety/Health, Security, Compliance requirements.
  • You must maintain quality certifications such as ISO9001, AS9100/9120, and Aerospace specific customer certifications, handles Internal Audit / Assessment Activities and performs internal / audits, develops and trains others to become internal auditor / assessors.
  • Identify and lead the implementation of activities that standardize quality / business methods, measures and tools, identifies and guides the implementation of activities that assure increasing quality skills are deployed within the organization and identifies and guides preventive / predictive improvement activities for important processes to exceed business / quality performance goals.
  • Use Customer (Internal or External) feedback as an input to improve, participate in systems development and improvement within your responsibilities, and lead and mentors employees in the use of quality tools, techniques, and methodologies to measure, monitor, report, and improve our performance.
  • You will work with customers reactively, to demonstrate Quality commitment, support activities to ensure communication between internal and external suppliers and participate in and guide corrective/preventive analysis and actions required in deploying root-cause solutions.

Your Skills and Experiences

  • Quality Engineer or Lead Auditor certification. (ASQ, CQE),
  • Hands-on experience and demonstrated success in the application of advance product quality planning (APQP) tools and techniques and Quality Assurance experience in a medium to high-volume logistics, manufacturing or assembly environment.
  • 1 years experience in the development, auditing and management of Quality Management Systems preferred.(i.e., ISO 9001, AS 9100/9120)
  • Aerospace quality assurance experience
