Kugelman Law is a tax and cryptocurrency law firm looking to hire a Legal Assistant/Case Manager who will play a crucial role in managing the lifecycle of cases, ensuring smooth operations and effective communication with clients.
This role involves coordinating with attorneys, clients, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality legal services while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
The ideal candidate enjoys working in a small-team environment, has a self-starter attitude, and the ability to work independently.
The Legal Assistant/Case Manager will report to Managing Attorney Alex Kugelman and is physically expected to work in our Corte Madera, CA, office from 8:30 am-5:00 pm Monday through Friday with the possibility of a hybrid remote schedule in the future depending on performance.

Responsibilities:
- Case Management
- Organize and maintain client files, correspondence, and legal forms in legal practice management software from onboarding to resolution.
- Calendar case deadlines, important task due dates, and meetings.
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information as required.
- Prepare and file legal documents, such as Power of Attorney forms, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests, and court motions.
- Client Communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients starting with new client onboarding tasks to regular status updates throughout the matter to case closeout.
- Respond promptly to all client inquiries within one business day.
- Address client concerns and inquiries with empathy and professionalism.
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information.
- Administrative Support
- Perform general office duties such as filing, copying, mailing, and faxing documents.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and productivity.
- Provide assistance and support to colleagues as needed, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Contribute ideas for process improvement and optimization of case management procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies, Business, or a related field.
- Proven administrative experience working as a legal assistant, account manager, paralegal, or similar position.
- Prior tax experience preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional and positive demeanor.
- Proficiency in document management and working with client management software.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Extraordinary attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards.
