Analytics Architect

Kum & Go is searching for a skilled Analytics Architect to join our Business Insights & Analytics team! The Architect is responsible for the design and development of data models, dashboards, and other analytic and reporting solutions. This role will lead development activities within Kum & Go’s Business Intelligence (BI) environment as well as assist in executing the strategy for the management and design of organization wide data delivery.

What You’ll Do:

• Design and develop data solutions to meet reporting and self-service data consumption needs, including data models, views, dashboards, and interactive visualizations
• Partner with internal customers to identify their business needs and develop understanding of they are underlying data to meet their reporting and data consumption requirements
• Support Kum & Go’s data strategy and vision
• Develop optimal ETL/ELT solutions, including extracts and live connections, for Kum & Go’s BI environment
• Content management within Kum & Go’s BI platform
• Participate in BI environment production support, conduct regular maintenance routines and coordinate upgrade activities

What We’re Looking For:

• Influential in data strategy development and implementation
• Experience in relational data modeling and architecture, including balancing data reliability, quality, efficiency, availability, and performance
• Advanced SQL skills with Microsoft SQL Server
• Knowledge of BI technology trends and best practices
• Knowledge of Enterprise Data Warehouse concepts and modern cloud-based data management tools/practices
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong time management skills
• Capacity to develop a clear understanding of the business needs and incorporate these needs into technical solutions
• Desire to provide value added solutions to meet business needs
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong customer service orientation

Other key requirements

• Advanced experience with designing and developing content in a Business Intelligence platform, Tableau or Power BI strongly preferred
• Experience with dbt view development strongly preferred
• Snowflake and Azure Data Lake experience strongly preferred
• Relocation to Des Moines, IA required
