Kumon Of Plano Northeast in Plano, TX is looking for a Math and Reading Teaching Assistant to join our strong team. Our ideal candidate is attentive, punctual, and engaged.

Responsibilities

*Stay current on relative information including engaging in ongoing training *Help the Director with co-coordinating and implementing student learning plans *Provide a positive and nurturing learning environment *Review performance and identify areas of opportunity to maximize effectiveness *Lead children with classwork. *Grade homework assignments. *Manage day-to-day operations of the center including managing the instructors, scheduling sessions, and interactions with parents.

Requirements:

Experience in managing operations of a center preferably education-related.

Montessori experienced or certified teachers are welcome to apply.

Excellent communication skills with adults and children.

This is not a summer only position. Candidate should be available to start and train during summer and available for continued work during for Fall 2021 and beyond.

• General Responsibilities: Provide appropriate academic coaching to students according to the Center policy. Motivate and encourage students (incentives, certificates, etc.). Discuss the students’ progress with parents. Personnel (instructor, center assistant) management, inventory management.

Qualifications

*College graduate or equivalent *Some experience working with children. *Ability to remain patient and positive and motivate students *Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. *Outstanding organizational skills and high attention to detail.

Hours Per Week

10-12

Must commit to working Mondays and Wednesdays 3:30 PM - 7 PM, Saturdays 10:30 AM - 1:30 PM.

Pay Rate

Pay depends on experience and willingness to work!

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. Compensation is $10.00 - $15.00/hour.
