Job Title: Server
Reports To: General Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Job Description:
At Kumori servers take orders, serves food and beverages to customers in our establishments. Greet customers, present menus, and explain daily specials. Also responsible for ensuring that customers have a satisfying dining experience. Provide fast, efficient, and courteous service. Emphasize personal, attentive treatment at a more leisurely pace.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides a positive customer experience with fair, friendly, and courteous service
- Familiarize customers with the menu and make appropriate suggestions when requested
- Collects payments by accepting cash, check, and charge payments from customers
- Check ID to ensure minimum age requirement is met
- Must 18 or older to serve alcoholic beverages
- Notify kitchen personnel of food orders, shortages, or special orders
- Serves appetizers, salads, cold dishes and beverages
- Recognize customer intoxication in accordance with Kumori policy
- Assisting with the tidying of tables, clearing leftovers and keeping the dining/work areas neat and pleasant
Qualifications:
- Must have great customer service skills and demonstrate oral or written communication skills
- Computer Skills
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Physical Requirements:
- Lift up to 10 lbs.
- Remain on your feet for several hours at a time
- Bend, Kneel, stoop, and sweep frequently
