Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Utilize basic engineering principles and practical design solutions.
• Utilize engineering calculation software.
• Prepare design drawings for client review, permitting, and construction.
• Guided design of power distribution systems including, but not limited to service entrance switchboards, engine generators, uninterruptible power supply systems, photovoltaic systems, monitoring and controls systems, lighting and lighting control systems, fire alarm, security systems, medium voltage, protection and controls, and distributed generation.
• Guided design development of point-to-point wiring diagrams.
• Assist in the development and review of custom designs and sequences.
• Develop and implement Integrated systems testing procedures.
• Computer-Aided Drafting.
• Computer-Aided Drafting Quality Control.
• Assist with project management to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Work with Clients, Managers, and Engineers to coordinate project designs.
• Work with sub-consultant(s) to coordinate trades.
• Attend job meetings & coordinate activities as required.
• Attend training as requested to further enhance your duties.
• Overnight business travel at times may be required.
• Complete and submit weekly paperwork (e.g., Timesheets, Expense Reports, etc.)

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to work accurately, with attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Outstanding initiative, a well-organized and strong sense of responsibility
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications
• Possess a strong awareness of current and emerging industry standards, vendors, and technologies as they relate to the consulting engineering industry

Education & Experience

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or other related field preferred.
• Basic knowledge of electrical design concepts and techniques.
• Two to five years of experience.
• Experience with REVIT is an advantage.

Pre-Screen

• Upon offer, employees may be required to subject and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background, and/or MVR check.

License & Certifications:

• Driver's License Preferred, but not required.

Physical Requirements:

The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
